Over-the-Rhine's Community Connector

Welcome friends! During the last decade, dramatic changes have taken place in Over-the-Rhine. Once abandoned buildings now house vibrant businesses and renovated lofts, Washington Park will soon be an urban haven for old and new residents, and Over-the-Rhine is redefining itself as a culturally rich, economically diverse neighborhood. What better place to be than Emanuel Community Center, located at the epicenter of it all!

Founded in 1871, Emanuel Community Center was established to serve the needs of its 19th century neighborhood. Through its doors, residents found education, meeting spaces, music, recreation and respite for the spirit. We're proud to say, nothing much has changed. Our mission is timeless - to be a resource for cohesive community, providing education and shared neighborhood experiences that connect all residents of Over-the-Rhine.

In 2001, Emanuel Community Center was completely renovated. Though its stately exterior remained, halls and walls were brightened, furnishings updated and spaces broadened. Today, Emanuel Community Center is buzzing with new programming and community events. Our programming captures the spirit of Emanuel Community Center's mission as a hub for connecting the community of Over-the-Rhine - promoting participation in educational, cultural and artistic activities that enrich and inspire the lives of children and adults.

We invite you to explore our programs, book a meeting space or simply enter our bright red door for a friendly tour. We're here for you.
